Student Affairs Assessment Council

In February, 2005 Student Affairs Vice President Gray appointed a ten-person student affairs assessment council that is expected to:

  1. Provide visible support, both philosophical and practical, for assessment efforts.
  2. Encourage wide participation in assessment efforts.
  3. Direct the review of annual assessment plans.
  4. Serve as resources for assessment implementation.
  5. Coordinate assistance for analysis of assessment data.
  6. Advocate for use of assessment data in strategic planning at unit and division levels.
  7. Communicate assessment results and uses of assessment data.
  8. Analyze aggregated assessment plans and results for division-wide trends and gaps.
  9. Make recommendations to improve student learning and development to the Student Affairs Vice President based on assessment results.
  10. Function as a learning community that provides reinforcement, support, and division-wide professional development opportunities for assessment efforts.
  11. Establish standard format for unit level assessment annual reports that will be integrated into a Division of Student Affairs assessment report.
  12. Investigate future assessment collaborations across campus.
