Study Abroad
Student Affairs and the Office of International Programs sponsors six fully certified, high quality study abroad programs in Italy, Central Europe, Greece, Mexico, the Middle East, and London.
Why study abroad?
A study abroad experience is an ideal complement to any major. Studying abroad provides students an opportunity to learn more about the world in which they live, as well as help prepare students for a global economy by creating cultural competence in diverse learning environments. Students at WVU are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the learning experiences that studying abroad will provide.
The Spring Break Study Abroad program consists of both classroom and travel components, through which students earn 4 credit hours. The London Internship program involves a summer internship through which students can earn a total of 6 credit hours, while gaining invaluable work experience related to their specific field of study.

In 2009, the Office of Student Affairs, in partnership with the International Studies Program, launched a program to begin sponsoring several students to attend international student conferences—the European International Model United Nations in the Hague and Education Without Borders in Dubai. Applications for 2009 are no longer being accepted, but check back for information regarding the WVU International Student Conferences Program for 2010! Please click here for more information.
